My Story
KCA is thrilled to introduce the newest member of our family, Mrs. Tara Guptill! Joining us with a heart full of passion and a trove of experience, Mrs. Guptill is set to inspire our 5th-8th graders in Arts, Sciences, Mathematics, and Latin.
Hailing from the picturesque state of Maine, Mrs. Guptill's journey to our classroom is nothing short of remarkable. With a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theater Arts from the University of Southern Maine, she originally ventured to Florida with dreams of Disney magic. Yet, the noble calling of education captured her heart, leading her to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Central Florida.
With 25 years of dedicated teaching in the Volusia County School system and a recent spell of enriching young minds in our pre-K department, Mrs. Guptill's love for KCA and our school family has blossomed into a full-time commitment. Her vibrant life, enriched with the joys of spending time with her husband Ron, her children Samantha, Zoë, and Logan, and engaging in activities like mountain climbing, kayaking, biking, and Alpine skiing, adds a beautiful layer of fun to her teaching.
Mrs. Guptill is not just about lessons and homework; her mission is to share the love of Christ with her students, guiding them through the academic and spiritual journey with her favorite verse, Proverbs 3:5-6, as a beacon.
